"TheSicilian" FrancoRossidirectsthefourthanshortestpiece,astraight-forwardrevengestorythatcomesandgoesbeforeiteverhasachanceofbecominginteresting.It'sviolent,buteasilytheleastsatisfyingofthefivestories. "ANightLikeAnyOther" Eastwood'sappearanceisclearlythebiggestattractionhere,whichwasfilmedinbetweentheSergioLeone"Dollars"trilogy.It'sanenjoyabledeparturefromhisnormalroles,playingacomedicromanticlead,andheisaffablyfuntowatch.FamedItaliandirector,VittoriodeSica(TheBicycleThief,UmbertoD.)doesamasterfuljobwiththestory,whichperfectlyblendsthemundaneandthefantasyinavisuallysatisfyingway.Thestoryisaboutaboredhousewife(Mangano,ofcourse),whotriesinvaintogetherhusbandtorealizethatheisnotasromanticasheusedtobe.Thesceneisinterspersedwithcomedicromancesequencesrevolvingaroundthecouple'spastromanticinterludes,anddreamsofhowtheirlivesshouldbe.
